The Auburn basketball team secured the top overall seed in this year's NCAA Tournament in the South Region and will face either Alabama State or Saint Francis in the round of 64.

The tournament will begin at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, where Auburn had a strong offensive performance in their win against Kentucky.

The Tigers have a potential matchup against Texas A&M, Michigan, UC San Diego, or Yale in the Sweet Sixteen, all teams they have some history with.

This season marks Auburn's 14th overall NCAA Tournament appearance and their fourth consecutive, with head coach Bruce Pearl leading the team to a 7-5 record in the tournament.

Auburn has previously been a 1-seed in the tournament but has never been the highest-seeded team in the field.

The Tigers will look to build on their past tournament success, including their 2019 Final Four run.

For more information about Auburn's NCAA Tournament history and previous seedings, refer to the list below.

A referee at a high school football game in Birmingham makes a bad call. The crowd starts chanting, β€œYou need glasses!” The referee says, β€œI already have glasses.” The crowd replies, β€œThen you need a guide dog.”

A kid sets up a sweet tea stand in Homewood. A man walks up and asks, β€œIs this tea sweet enough?” The kid says, β€œSir, this is Alabama. If it were any sweeter, it’d be syrup.

A man invents a new BBQ sauce in Muscle Shoals. His friend tastes it and says, β€œThis is amazing! What’s in it?” The man says, β€œIt’s a family secret.” The friend says, β€œCan I have the recipe?” The man replies, β€œSure, but first you have to marry into the family.

At a high school reunion in Decatur, a man says, β€œI’ve been married three times.” His friend says, β€œWhat happened?” The man replies, β€œI kept marrying Alabama fans. Turns out, I’m more of an Auburn person.

Secret Little Hacks

Use Pantyhose as a Temporary Fan Belt

If your fan belt breaks and you’re stranded, you can use a pair of pantyhose as a temporary replacement. Loop it around the pulleys and tie it tightly. It won’t last forever, but it can get you to the nearest mechanic.

Keep Brown Sugar Soft with a Marshmallow
To prevent brown sugar from hardening, toss a marshmallow into the bag or container. The marshmallow absorbs moisture and keeps the sugar soft.
